4-2 [통합TEST] 실제 DATA로 진행하는 TEST

- 이번 4-2에서는 실제 DATA로 TEST를 진행하겠습니다.

- 환경설정 관련 글은 아래에 있는 글을 참조하여 진행해주시면 됩니다.

1. StudentScoreServiceIntegrationTest

- StudentScoreServiceIntegrationTest 클래스 생성 및 IntegrationTest를 상속받아 줍니다.

- @Autowired 애노테이션을 사용하여 StudentScoreService와 EntityManager 인스턴스를 주입

1) savePassedStudentScoreTest 메서드 작성

- 위치 : com.pcy.dayonetest.service (test)

1. 준비 단계 (Given)

• StudentScore 객체를 생성합니다. 이 객체는 StudentScoreTestDataBuilder.passed()를 사용하여 생성됩니다.

passed()는 합격한 학생의 데이터를 미리 설정해두고, studentName("pcy")를 호출하여 학생 이름을 “pcy”로 설정합니다.

마지막으로 build() 메서드를 호출하여 StudentScore 객체를 만듭니다.

 

2. 실행 단계 (When):

• studentScoreService.saveScore() 메서드를 호출하여 학생의 점수를 저장합니다.

이때 학생의 이름, 시험 이름, 국어 점수, 영어 점수, 수학 점수를 인자로 전달합니다.

 

3. 검증 단계 (Then):

• studentScoreService.getPassStudentsList() 메서드를 호출하여 특정 시험의 합격한 학생 목록을 가져옵니다.

이 목록은 ExamPassStudentResponse 객체의 리스트로 반환됩니다.

• 가져온 리스트의 크기가 1인지 확인합니다. 이는 한 명의 학생이 합격했음을 의미합니다.

• 해당 테스트를 수행하면 아래와 같은 결과를 확인 할 수 있습니다.

entityManager.flush()와 entityManager.clear()를 호출하는 이유를 설명해드리겠습니다.

 

entityManager.flush()

 

entityManager.flush()는 영속성 컨텍스트(Persistence Context)에 있는 변경 사항들을 데이터베이스에 강제로 동기화하는 역할을 합니다. 영속성 컨텍스트는 일반적으로 엔티티 매니저가 관리하는 캐시로, 이곳에 있는 엔티티는 자동으로 데이터베이스와 동기화되지 않습니다. flush()를 호출하면, 다음과 같은 효과가 있습니다:

 

1. 변경 사항 반영: 영속성 컨텍스트에 보관된 모든 변경 사항을 데이터베이스에 반영합니다. 이를 통해 현재까지의 변경 내용이 데이터베이스에 저장되며, 트랜잭션이 종료되지 않아도 데이터를 확정할 수 있습니다.

2. 데이터 일관성 보장: 데이터베이스의 현재 상태와 영속성 컨텍스트의 상태가 일치하게 됩니다. 이는 이후의 데이터 조회나 검증 작업에서 일관성을 보장합니다.

 

entityManager.clear()

 

entityManager.clear()는 영속성 컨텍스트를 비웁니다. 즉, 영속성 컨텍스트에 보관된 모든 엔티티를 제거합니다. 이를 호출하는 이유는 다음과 같습니다:

 

1. 캐시 무효화: 영속성 컨텍스트에 남아 있는 캐시된 엔티티들을 제거합니다. 이렇게 함으로써 이후의 데이터 조회 작업은 데이터베이스에서 직접 데이터를 가져오게 되어, 영속성 컨텍스트의 캐시된 데이터가 아닌 실제 데이터베이스의 최신 데이터를 확인할 수 있습니다.

2. 독립적인 검증: 엔티티 매니저의 캐시를 비워서, 데이터가 영속성 컨텍스트에 남아있지 않고 실제 데이터베이스에 저장되었음을 확인할 수 있습니다. 이는 테스트에서 데이터를 저장한 후 바로 조회할 때, 캐시된 데이터가 아닌 실제 데이터베이스의 데이터를 검증할 수 있게 합니다.

 

[이 두 메서드를 사용하는 시나리오]

• 데이터를 저장하거나 변경한 후, 그 변경 사항이 실제로 데이터베이스에 반영되었는지 확인하고자 할 때.

• 저장된 데이터를 조회할 때, 영속성 컨텍스트의 캐시가 아닌 실제 데이터베이스의 최신 데이터를 가져오고자 할 때.
